Why does my Nykaa Fashion code drop off when I choose cash on delivery?

The code is most likely a prepaid-only offer, and those stop working once you switch the order to cash on delivery. Extra percentage-off codes for prepaid orders are a common type at Nykaa Fashion, and they apply only when you pay upfront by UPI, card, net banking or wallet. If COD isn't the problem, check these next: A bank card code needs that bank's card at payment. Paying with a different card or UPI removes the discount. Some bank codes work only on the Nykaa Fashion app and mobile site, so they fail on a desktop browser. The cart is below the code's minimum, or the items in your bag are outside the brands or categories the offer covers. Pro Tip: Apply the code, pick your payment method, and then look at the total again on the payment page. That is the last screen where a code can fall off.

Why is my Nykaa Fashion total higher than the bag price?

Every order carries a convenience fee on top of the item prices, and a coupon does not remove it. The parts that apply to every shopper are: A flat platform fee of INR 29 on every order. A packaging and delivery fee of INR 70 on orders up to INR 499 and INR 20 on orders above INR 500 up to INR 999. Orders above INR 1000 get free delivery. Pro Tip: Look at the delivery fee line after the code goes on, not before. If your cart sits just under INR 500, crossing it cuts the delivery fee from INR 70 to INR 20, and that INR 50 saving pays for part of a small add-on you actually want.

Nykaa Fashion Saving Guide & Tips

Expert strategies on how to save more at Nykaa Fashion. Be the first to share a tip that worked for you.

The best Nykaa Fashion savings come from combining the right offer with the right timing, and here's how to line both up.

Combine Your Items Into One Order Above INR 1,000 to Pay the Least in Fees

Apply your coupon before you add any extra items to cross a fee line, then read the delivery fee on the payment page to see what your discounted cart actually pays.

Every order on nykaafashion.com carries a flat INR 29 platform fee, no matter how many items are in it. Two small orders pay that fee twice, while one combined order pays it once. Items in one order can still arrive in separate shipments, so combining them does not mean waiting for the slowest piece.

The delivery fee drops in steps. A cart of up to INR 499 pays INR 70 for packaging and delivery, a cart above INR 500 and up to INR 999 pays INR 20, and delivery is free above INR 1,000. A cart at INR 480 pays INR 99 in fees, so an add-on under INR 50 that takes it past INR 500 costs you less than the fee it removes.

Prive Platinum members get free delivery above INR 149, but the platform fee still applies to them. For a Platinum member the delivery steps rarely matter, and the main reason left to combine orders is that one platform fee.

Keep Your Returns Low to Avoid the Extra Returns Fee

Order one size and raise a size exchange from the My Orders section in the app within 7 days of delivery, instead of buying two sizes and returning one.

Nykaa Fashion adds an extra fee to orders from accounts with a high number of returns. That fee goes back to nil as your returns per order come down, so the way to stop paying it is to send fewer items back.

The common habit that pushes the return count up is ordering two sizes of the same item and returning one. Where the product page offers a size exchange, order one size and swap it if it does not fit. If the new size is out of stock at that point, the store offers a return instead.

Return terms are set per product and shown on each product page. Some items allow return and replacement, some allow only a size exchange, made-to-order pieces cannot be returned, and international orders cannot be returned or exchanged at all. Read that line before you buy anything you are unsure about.

Cancel and Reorder Within 24 Hours If the Price Drops

If the price drops within 24 hours of ordering, place a fresh order at the new price first and only then cancel the original, so your size does not sell out in between.

You can cancel an order on Nykaa Fashion within 24 hours of placing it, from the My Orders section. If a sale opens or a better code appears in that window, you can move your purchase to the lower price by cancelling and ordering again.

For a prepaid order, the store processes a cancellation refund within 3 business days, so the money for both orders is out of your account for a short time. A cash on delivery order has nothing to refund. Before you switch, compare the new order's full payable amount, fees included, with what you paid the first time.

Many pieces show 'Few sizes in limited stock' on the product page. The size you want may not be there when you come back to reorder.

Where to Enter Promo Codes at Nykaa Fashion?

Help other shoppers find the coupon code box at nykaafashion.com checkout.

Add Screenshot

nykaafashion.com puts the coupon box on the bag page under Apply Coupon, and gift card balance goes in later on the payment page.

Open your bag and scroll below the items to Apply Coupon.
Paste the code, tap Apply and check the coupon discount line appears.
Choose your payment method, then recheck the total, since prepaid-only codes drop off on COD.
Add gift card balance on the payment page, not in the coupon box.

Nykaa Fashion Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about Nykaa Fashion coupons and deals.

The code is most likely a prepaid-only offer, and those stop working once you switch the order to cash on delivery. Extra percentage-off codes for prepaid orders are a common type at Nykaa Fashion, and they apply only when you pay upfront by UPI, card, net banking or wallet.

If COD isn't the problem, check these next:

A bank card code needs that bank's card at payment.

Usually yes. The extra percentage-off codes here are built to sit on top of marked-down prices, so a sale price plus a prepaid or bank code is a common way to get the lowest total.

Flat-amount codes with a minimum are the exception. Sale prices can pull your cart below that minimum, and then the code stops applying. If a code refuses a sale item, price it both ways: the sale price alone, and the full price with the code. Take whichever total is lower.

Not always. Some bank card codes need the whole order paid on that bank's card, and they switch off Nykaa Fashion gift cards and Nykaa Fashion Wallet balance as payment options for that order.

So if you are holding gift card or wallet balance, do the maths first. A bank code gives a percentage off, usually with a cap, while your balance is money you would spend anyway. Often the better move is a regular coupon plus your balance on this order, and the bank code on a later order you pay fully by card.

Every order carries a convenience fee on top of the item prices, and a coupon does not remove it. The parts that apply to every shopper are:

A flat platform fee of INR 29 on every order.

Yes, through Nykaa Prive, the free loyalty programme that runs across Nykaa. Prive Platinum members get free delivery on Nykaa Fashion orders above INR 149, against INR 1000 for everyone else.

There is no fee to join. You become a Prive member once your purchases on Nykaa cross a set spending level, and the higher tiers unlock with more spending. Platinum members still pay the INR 29 platform fee.

Ask for a size exchange from My Orders within 7 days of delivery. You skip placing a fresh order, and with it the need to find another working code.

For orders within India, minor alterations are sometimes available too. If your size is out of stock, you get the option to return the item instead.

Yes. Shoppers with a higher return record can be charged an additional fee at checkout, and it can drop to nil as returns per order come down.

So check the return and exchange tag on the product page before you buy, since each product shows its own rule. Some made-to-order pieces can't be returned at all, and neither can international orders. A return is accepted only if the item is unused, unworn, unwashed, undamaged and in its original packaging with every label and tag still on.

You need to share a bank account or UPI ID, and the refund is sent there. Prepaid orders are refunded to the same bank account or card you paid from.

Timing depends on what you did. A cancellation, which you can place from My Orders within 24 hours of ordering, is processed for refund within 3 business days. A return is refunded after the courier picks the item up, and pickup comes within 3-5 business days of your request.
