Why won't my code work on some items in my The House of Rare bag?

The code is probably tied to one label or collection, and your bag has items from another. The House of Rare sells more than one label through a single checkout, and some codes cover only part of that range. The offer on this page names the label or collection it covers. Remove the items the code doesn't cover and apply it again. If it still fails on a bag that matches, the code has likely ended, so try the next offer on this page. Pro Tip: Before you split a mixed bag into two orders to fit a code, check the totals. A smaller order can drop below INR 5,000 and lose the prepaid discount, which can cost more than the code saves.

Do the flat rupee-off codes at The House of Rare need a minimum cart?

Yes, flat-amount codes come with a minimum cart value, and the offer on this page shows it. So the right pick depends on your bag size. A flat code gives the same rupee amount no matter how far you go past its minimum. A percentage code keeps growing with the bag. On a bag well above the flat code's minimum, work out the percentage code's saving too, because it can come out ahead.

Can I use a code during a The House of Rare sale?

Yes, but only a code that covers sale items will work on marked-down prices. A regular code can get refused on sale items, and sale-period codes can carry a minimum cart value. If you're torn between a sale item and a full-price one with a regular code, price both ways and take the lower total. The sale price usually wins.

How much extra do I save by paying online at The House of Rare?

You get 10% off on orders of INR 5,000 or more paid online, and 14% off on orders of INR 10,000 or more. Online payment means UPI, credit or debit card, or net banking. On a INR 10,000 bag, that 14% is INR 1,400 off. Below INR 5,000 neither tier applies, so the payment method doesn't change the price on a small order. Pro Tip: Pick your payment method first, then read the total on the payment page. That is the number you will actually pay.

Do I lose the prepaid discount if I choose cash on delivery?

Yes. The 10% and 14% tiers apply only to orders paid online, so a cash on delivery order misses them. On a INR 10,000 bag, choosing COD means paying INR 1,400 more than paying by UPI or card. COD costs you nothing extra on a bag under INR 5,000, since there is no prepaid discount to lose there.

Is it worth adding an item to reach INR 5,000 or INR 10,000?

Often yes, because a bag just under the line can cost more than a bag just over it. Here is how the numbers work when you pay online: A INR 4,800 bag gets no prepaid discount, so you pay INR 4,800. Push it to INR 5,000 and 10% off brings it to INR 4,500. You pay less and take home more. A INR 9,500 bag at 10% off costs INR 8,550. At INR 10,000 the 14% tier brings it to INR 8,600. That is only INR 50 more for INR 500 worth of extra clothes. If you also use a coupon and it brings the total close to a line, watch the payment page to see which tier you actually get.

Do the codes on this page work at The House of Rare stores?

The codes listed here are for orders placed online. If you're shopping at a The House of Rare store, ask at the billing counter which offers apply there before you pay.
