If your cart sits just under the free-shipping threshold, add a dupatta or a pair of earrings only when that item costs less than the flat fee for the destination country.
Below each country's free-shipping threshold, international orders pay a flat fee: USD 25 to the United States, GBP 18 to the United Kingdom, AUD 40 to Australia, SGD 30 to Singapore and AED 90 to the UAE. The fee is the same whether the cart is just under the threshold or far under it, so two small orders to one address pay it twice while one combined order can pay nothing. Put every gift for one household in a single cart before you check out.
Choose the destination in the 'Ship to' menu at the top of the site before you add anything. Prices and the free-shipping threshold are set in that country's currency, so picking the right country first shows you the cart total that counts toward free shipping.
All international parcels go by DHL, and the person receiving one may be asked to pay import duty or tax at the door. If they refuse, the order is refunded only after the shipping charge is deducted, and US deliveries can carry extra tariffs on top. Tell the recipient to expect a possible duty bill so they pay it instead of refusing the parcel.
